Jānis.lv is a Latvian boutique guitar pedal brand founded in 2009 by guitarist, artist and pedal builder Jānis Altmanis. Every pedal is designed, assembled and finished entirely by hand in Latvia - from soldering and wiring to final testing - reflecting a commitment to authenticity, craftsmanship and exceptional tone.

Rather than following modern mass-production methods, Jānis.lv exclusively uses through-hole electronic components, avoiding surface-mount (SMD) technology. This traditional approach delivers excellent reliability, easier servicing and preserves the character of classic boutique pedal construction.

Each enclosure is individually marked using steel letter punches, permanently imprinting Latvian lettering directly into the metal. This distinctive handcrafted signature makes every pedal unique while celebrating the brand's Latvian heritage and artisan philosophy.
