The origins of Alhambra date back to the early 1960s, when Francisco Martínez Clavel, together with Ricardo Llorens and José María Vilaplana, developed the first prototype of a Spanish classical guitar. Their vision eventually led to the creation of Manufacturas Alhambra, S.A., a company that now exports its instruments to more than 70 countries worldwide.

Every Alhambra guitar is handcrafted in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, by a team of over one hundred skilled artisans. Carefully selected premium tonewoods - cedar, spruce, ebony, rosewood and cypress - are naturally dried and precisely prepared to ensure exceptional resonance, stability and long-lasting performance.

Each instrument undergoes an extensive handcrafted production process involving assembly, varnishing, polishing, final setup and detailed sound inspection. Every guitar receives a unique serial number that guarantees its authenticity, quality and Spanish origin.
